I live in schwedelbach, and have started commuting (occasionally) to work at Panzer Kaserne (near the REAL by the Kaiserslautern Ost autobahn exit).

Anybody else commuting this route? Wanna ride together occasionally?

I think I've pretty much found the fastest route: Schwedelbach to Wielerbach to Rodenbach to Siegelbach on paths that parallel the main road (except the Schwedelbach to Weilerbach stretch, there's a path that goes straight across the fields). Then after siegelbach I go ...

I will be having dinner tonight somewhere with Stefano, Mario, maybe Angello and the hardest woman alive Ausilla. Don't know where yet, but I will post something. Is Dan still here?

One last thing, Chris could you PM me your number, I have lost it. Ed

I'm going to be in Ramstein for two months starting Aug 17. Which should I bring, my mountain or road bike?

I like group riding on the road and riding from village to village seams like it would be fun, like pretending you're in the Tour. But if you guys don't do that type of riding, maybe my mountain bike would be more fun. I've ridden the trails around the castle several years ago, and I know they are fun. The pictures you have on here of you guys mountain bike looks like you're having ...

I'm Devin (17) and im new to the area, (living on Vogelweh) I love mountian biking and am looking for any oppurtunities to ride.

I came from Georgia, where I stated racing in the GSC series, the two races I did I took first in the kickoff for the series, and 3rd in the championship race. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the races inbetween the two.

Right now I'm riding a not so stock Trek 3900, but I'm looking at a Sette Flite for my next rig.

I am looking at houses in Baan and Hutschenhausen. I was curious what the riding was like (both road and mountain), where the trails and group rides are and meet, and if anyone knows about these areas? I have to stay in within a reasonable distance of the hospital ...

I am headed to Ramstein May 2009 and would like information on where to live, ride and so on.

I downgraded from Cat 2 to a Cat 3 a few years ago, and am interested in training areas and races. I also race triathlons (Olympic and Half Ironman), offroad triathlons, adventure races and cyclocross.

I posted email address and other questions I have in the road bike sections, so if anybody can provide some info I would appreciate it.

Thanks

So much for the good weather. I got up this morning and just got ready to ride to work did not check to see if it was raining or not. So I got really wet on the way in. Looks like everyone got to enjoy the great weather over the week end. I got a good 2+ hours in on Sunday with a 40 minute none stop climb. Paying for it today but that is what it's all about. Just getting in better every day.

Hi,

I am currently packing up home in Canberra, Australia, ready to head over to Kaiserslautern. I speak no German, have only passed through Germany once very briefly, and don't have a job there yet (know anyone looking for a good engineer? Winnings are unlikely to sustain me just at the moment...), but I see all of these as minor problems.

The big issues at the moment are: How am I going to get my bikes over there? When I am over there, who am I going to ride with for fun and training? ...

Later, I bought got an all aluminum frame Schwinn. I upgraded the components to Campy. So, actually, the components cost way more than the frame. I loved that bike!

Hey, my name is Anthony Delauder. Met a few of you all through the mountain bike races and the Rodenbach rides (specifically Neo and Trent I believe). Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. I believe I also met Drew but I'm not sure. I did the Graf race and I think he was the guy wearing the stars and stripes. You might also remember me as the guy in the Spangdahlem race with the very loud bottom bracket. So, I've been visiting this site for a few months now and just wanted to give a shout ...

My name is Richard and I am new to the area. I love to ride and the last big ride I did was in July - the Deathride in the California Alps (5 mountain passes with 15,000 ft of climbing). I can't wait to start riding in Germany and Europe. If anyone has any information about metric centuries or double metric centuries over the next few months, it will be greatly appreaciated. I also do a lot of cross training. Good to meet you.
