Fork rebuild service?

Post by jvanhuis on Tue Feb 16, 2010 12:13 pm

It's been a few years and time to give the Fox Fork some love, has anyone used a rebuild service over here? I can always send it to the states but local would be easier, thanks for any info.

Jamie

I know that Toxoholics is who rebuilds fox forks in the Pfalz area. They are actually located on Rodalben and you ride past their shop almost every time you ride out there. I'm uncertain, but you may have to go through a local bike shop in order for them to send it there. I don't know if they deal directly with customers or not. Anyway, their website is: http://www.toxoholics.de/

Let me know what you find out because mine may need rebuilt soon.

They will deal directly with customers and all of them speak English pretty well. Plan on being without the fork 4 to 7 days. If you want it faster they drink cold Bitburger. The place is kind of tricky to find...it's on a one-way street directly across from the only VW dealer in Rodalben. Like Zack said, you ride past it when doing "F".

Check out their Orange collection while you're there...cool downhill stuff.

I can't remember exactly...but I think they charged me around 30 Euro to rebuild my Float. The overhaul price has a lot to do with the condition of the upper stanchion tubes. They wern't crazy about using VAT forms either.

I would highly suggest PUSH industries. I sent my four year old fox off to them last year. Best decision I have ever made. The fork is amazing. I opted for the compression dampening mod which my RL did not have from the factory so it was a bit more. They use bushings which are much better and fit better as well. I have a second fork laying around somewhere if you need a temp while yours is rebuilt. It is a Manitou Super Six I think. It isn't great, but it kept me riding while mine was being rebuilt.

Highly recommend : http://www.tftunedshox.com/default.aspx

He's in England but shipping there shouldn't be a problem from Germany. Top notch service and your fork will be BETTER than new.
