Anybody going to either? I wont be back in time for the Giro, but I will be at the first 2 stages of the Tour in Monaco and possibly some others including the ride into Paris!

TDF or Giro? Empty Re: TDF or Giro?

I'll definately be in Paris, been a tradition over the past 6 or so years, missed it last year because of a deployment. To expierence the Tour as it winds up on the Champs Elysees is awesome. I think every cyclist should go and be a part of the excitment, color and drama that the Tour is. I say Beers in Paris at the end of July...

I won't make the start of the Giro, there is a MTB Marathon that day, but may catch it somewhere along the course.

If you can make a mountain stage, it's awesome. We camped on Le Alpe de huez for a couple days...insane! Bring a bike to ride up Le Alpe or whatever col is this year, f-in great ride and party.

I'd really like to make a mtn stage this year. I did Paris last year and it was a lot of fun, but I think the excitement surrounding a mtn stage would be unrivaled!

Also, June 7th is the Stage 1 ITT of the Dauphine in Nancy. That's like 2 to 2 1/2 hours away. Definitely going to this. Speaking of going. Headed to the World Cup in Offenburg today for the races tomorrow. Staying in the Edy Hotel in Ortenberg if anyone else is around! Anyone have a suggestion for best viewing areas on the course?
