Congrats to former RACC'er Les Handy for his performance at the 24 Hours of Moab. Les's team placed 3rd in the 35+ Master's Category and 10th place overall out of over 300 teams. Here is the link to their laps:

Thanks, Shady, for the props! The 24hrs of Moab was the highlight of the year for me. What fun it was to turn ourselves inside out for each and every lap. And holly crap that was a tough course! The rocks and drops and technical climbs and sand were tough during the day then to ride them at night...man it still hurts! But I was lucky enough to be on a first class team with an RV and Team Trailer full of parts and tools. We had a dedicated Team Mecahnic cleaning and dialing our bikes after each dusty lap and a fabulous support crew keeping us fed and happy all through the night. It was an absloutely amazing race and I think we all feel like we far surpassed our goals by taking a bronze medal for a National Championship.

As you guys start to make your way back home I hope to see you out there in the future. You will not be dissapointed!

Way to go Les, you da Man! Congrats to you and your team mates as well as your support crew, thats awesome. Me and Chopper are planning a MTB trip sometime next year, we need to try and hook up if possible. NorCal bound 1 Nov, I'll definately miss the riding here but where I'm going there is plenty of trails and tar to go around. I'll be off the bike for a few months but am looking forward to the new year and new trails to explore. Keep in touch and I'll see you on the other side, again congrats on your podium finish.
