Dream Tubeless Setup
Ok, as the riding is slowing down due to crappy weather, I can't seem to stop surfing the internet looking for the next upgrade. I'm thinking about making the transition to tubeless and wanted to poll the RACC to see what your ideal tubeless setup would be.
Would you run a single tire year round? If so what would it be?
Would you prefer to switch tires out as the seasons changed, and if so, what would those tires be?
Would your dream tire changes depending on if it was a 29 inch wheel vs 26?
So why you are on the fence about stepping outside for a cold wet muddy ride, take the time to let us know what tires you wish you were riding on, or maybe are riding on!

Re: Dream Tubeless Setup
I am running Stans Flows with Industry Nine SS hubs and love them setup tubeless. I am using Cafe Latex which works AWESOME(better than Stans IMO), and running non tubeless style tires. But the Conti's are approved for tubeless setup and they seal up like a champ with the Stans rims and Cafe Latex.

So far I am in love with the Conti MK 2.4 front and rear, it hooks up extremely well(at least for everything I have ridden here in Germany)

I am going to try the Conti RK 2.2 out back when the weather gets warm and the trail packs hard again. I have heard alot of good things about it, and go with the tried and proven big up front, small out back method for tires.

No because I only run a 29er

Re: Dream Tubeless Setup
My front tire is almost toast so I am going to try a Racing Ralph and I will let you know how that is. Right now I run a non tubeless Bontrager Jones Xr 2.25 front and a Kenda Karma 1.9 rear both set up tubeless. I use this setup all year and love it. It clears mud and snow well, is plenty light, and grips well everywhere. I think the front is 600g and the rear is 500g.
I don't usually use Tubeless tires because they feel much stiffer and weigh more, but they do seal up better and have much more durable sidewalls.
I am building a 26" right now and I am going to try a Racing Ralph up front and a Bontrager Jones team issue out back. I will let you know how that works after a few rides.

Re: Dream Tubeless Setup
The racing ralphs have very supple sidewalls. You will like them. Make sure to get the stans in there as I didn't find them very thorn friendly. With Stans, no problem.
