11 OCT 2010 @0700 French-German border mountain bike ride.
I have never been on this trail before, but I expect it to be single track and fire roads. Speed will be determined by the group. This is a trip to explore a new area and take in the views. The trail passes by seven castles. I plan on this being a daylong event. There should be plenty to see along the way. There is a good amount of vert to be climbed. Remember to bring Euros in case we stop for lunch.

We will meet at the Gwoog parking lot @0700 so we can carpool. If you need a ride or have space in your car, post up. I can take 2 in my car. We will be crossing borders so make sure you have proper documentation. I don't know if we will need it, but just in case.

Re: 11 OCT 2010 @0700 French-German border ride
I am planning to go. I think Holly and one other guy may go too, but I'm double checking (fyi). I can drive too. I have a bike rack that holds three bikes and my car can fit about four people depending on how much stuff we have...

I am in for this ride. Is it going to happen or what? I do not see many responses.

You all might want to bring a lunch since I do not know if there is anything along the way.
Re: 11 OCT 2010 @0700 French-German border ride
Thanks Holly, Gilbert, John and Kirsten for making it out this morning.
This ride was a real adventure. Lots of single track, some easy some very technical and some mandatory carry sections. The going was tough and slow. We could've used a chainsaw and a weed wacker in some sections. Some very steep ups and downs and some long fire road climbs. The views were outstanding. It made it worth the effort. The last couple of km's were a long downhill on some very nice single track.

I'm about to go to bed (lol) but felt compelled to post something. I feel exhausted but completely energized at the same time. Today was fabulous! Great company and a great ride. Steve thanks for putting this together!!
