Kadena?
What's the scene like in Okinawa? I'm assuming I'll ahve to buy a keirin bike and go racing, but an around the island ride would be pretty rad. We just got orders this week. Anyone know of any cycling clubs there?

Re: Kadena?
I was stationed there 24 years ago and then the perimeter road was a pretty awesome loop but off base was simply crazy....to many out of control drivers to risk anything on a major roadway....I've heard they've open up the WSA to riding if so you'll be on winding road heaven....good luck and remember Orion Beer is absolutely horrible!!!!
Re: Kadena?
Kadena is going to suck for riding. Dan is right about perimeter road, if you can try to get inside the ammo depot (it is bigger than the base). And Orion beer does taste like crap!

Re: Kadena?
Check out MTBR.com They have quite a few reviews of trails. Ceck out their trail reviews and post a message in their forum. Youre bound to get info if MTB is what you're looking for:) He is one trail that by buddie always talked about. I guess their is a Special Forces unit there and they hit the trail fequently.
