MTB TIme Trial Series
I just got this off the Saber site:
On Sunday we begin our 4 week time trial series. The program is open to all
riders; novice to expert, teen to octogenarian, roadie to downhiller, male to
female, and everything in between. In fact, we hope to see new faces and new
riders. The course will be about 5 km with a medium climb in it. The objective
on day one is just to ride it at a moderate pace. Outdoor Rec will be out there
to track your time. Then next week, the objective will be to improve your time,
recurring each week until Thanksgiving Sunday, when most of us are bloated and
satiated, and we will ride the course at our hardest to get the best time
possible. Then we measure the difference from week one and week four, and those
who improve will be awarded. Those who don't improve will learn a little about
strategy, fitness and of course will receive a participation prize. So get out
the bike and helmet and meet at the Spangdahlem main gate at 10:30 AM on Sunday.
