Rodalben Sunday
Of the two times I've planned to go early and do the B-side, and then the A-side, I've actually managed to do so once... so I'm going to try and improve my record this sunday... we'lll see ..
anyway, the plan is this:
I start form the Gravel lot (Right after we come down that big fire road decent at the end of the A side) at about 0600 (or as close to 0600 as my sleep-addled discipline can muster) and ride as much of the B-Side as time permits before dropping back down into town to meet up at 0830 at Lidl to ride the A-Side with anyone who is interested.
If you want to do the B-side early run with me, please let me know, that way I will make sure to be there on time at 0600. IF I haven't had anyone confirm they're going to meet me there at that time, then it's a lot easier for me to snooze off a few minutes and I might get there late.
Anyway, post if y'all are interested.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
I'm thinking 0830 sounds good but first I need to see how the weekend plays out with my "Honey Due" list...

Re: Rodalben Sunday
How 'bout we do the A side in reverse??? Last time we tried it we had to cut it short because we had some bike carnage and I fell off a cliff...fun stuff!!!

Re: Rodalben Sunday
I tried it last time with Zenke and had a mech failure so we had to cut it short. I am game to try it again.
Re: Rodalben Sunday
I am going to try to make this ride with ya. Since I missed the Tues and Thur rides.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
What did you think about the reverse route? After the restaurant to the end was very nice. Wouldn't mind riding it again, although the beginning was pretty brutal. See how it is next time.
Re: Rodalben Sunday
It was an awesome ride. The begining was tough, because I think we were cold. I felt better once we got into it. We got to do the other side.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
Anybody up for this Sunday? Earlier would be better for me, not Jonesy early, but like 0730 start time (any earlier you'll need lights). Have a birthday party so I can't be too late getting back.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
I might meet you there at 0730.... but I'm a maybe at this point. Probably what I would do is get out early, do the A side in reverse, then ride back with you to a point and bail out when time starts to become a factor....
I'll know more solidly tomorrow... I've already explained to you the two courses of action I take to earn riding time, and right now I'm still trying to stick with plan 'A' for this weekend.

Jonesy, if you want to light up and go psycho early I'll be there with you. Married with children, you do what you gotta do to ride....

Re: Rodalben Sunday
Alright! That's what I'm talking about! We'll play it by ear until tomorrow afternoon, but I could probably get away with doing a 0600 start. If we're not TOO talkative at the breaks we can do it in roughly 2:00 to 2:30.
Like I said, we can solidify tomorrow... and oh yeah, isn't yours the light that rivals the batman beacon?

I will indeed bring the blow torch, if any other fools are out there they will see us coming.Jonesy wrote:... and oh yeah, isn't yours the light that rivals the batman beacon?
I need to make sure she didn't add a case for Sunday morning or something, right now she's supposed to be off. Let's talk tomorrow.

Re: Rodalben Sunday
I think I'm out for this Sunday. We've got a party to go to tonight, and I'm just not sure I'll have the will to really get up in time for an early rodalben ride.
If y'all are meeting at the usual 8:30 and I'm up and in the mood I may catch that one, but even that's dodgy at this point.
