Road Bike Riders,
Anyone interested in a cold weather ride before the rain comes tomorrow? Plan to meet in Glan-Munchweiler at the ParkPlatz just past circle across the bridge (east of the tracks) and push at 1000. Planned route is about 26 miles, mostly flat, at about 18-19 mph: from Glan Munchwieler south to Steinwenden, Meisenbach then North through Reichenbach-Steegen, Oberstaufenbach, and Aldenglan before turning South again to Glan-Munchweiler.
I am fairly new to the area, so if someone knows of a better route or coffee/pastry stop at the end, I'm open to suggestions.
v/r, John

Thanks for posting the ride. I would usually be in for this, but I've stripped the road bike down for getting it warrantied. Hope someone joins you.

I can see the stars which means it is hopefully going to be a good morning. I am not a fan of riding in rain or wet roads. Wet roads don't bother me as much, but I just sold my cyclocross bike that I use as a bad weather road bike, and I haven't got fenders for the road bike yet. I guess the downfall to having a nice bike is I am not willing to get it dirty for a winter ride. I will post by 0900 if I am in or out. I don't expect roads to be perfect, just not saturated or slick.
